Did you know you can grow cute limes and other citrus on a south facing wall or in a greenhouse on the southern gulf islands / southern Vancouver Island? These were a gift from my clients greenhouse. They are incredibly fragrant and deliciously juicy. They are also called, Persian Lime Tree, Bearss Lime Tree, Tahiti Lime Tree or Seedless Lime. This seedless Lime is a cross of key lime (Citrus x aurantifolia) and lemon (Citrus limon). Bearss Lime produces fruits that are vivid green and glossy when immature, turning yellow as they mature and ripen in late winter into spring. They may produce fruit year-round indoors. What a wonderful treat!
